The consistent buzzing of her phone pulled Justina away from her dreams. After spending the night in the hospital with next to no sleep and having to deal with Spencer being around on top of that when she got home all Justina wanted to do was sleep. At 32 weeks she was exhausted nearly all the time anyway, just the trip from the car into the house and her room had worn her out, the ability to breathe deeply having been a thing of the past for weeks now..

Reaching her hand out Justina fumbled around on the nightstand table to silence the phone figuring it was just another text from Spencer checking in to make sure she was still okay. She wouldn’t admit it but she was still slightly on edge, the hospital scare had freaked both of them out, she wasn’t sure how she would get through the next two months if Spencer was going to check in every hour. Her phone started up again and Justina let out a groan. Clearly Spencer wasn’t going to let her get any sleep until he was sure Charlotte was okay.

She pushed herself up into a sitting position reaching for her phone. Instead of a text from Spencer it was a list of missed calls from her agent, texts from numbers and people she hadn’t talked to in months as well as just one from Spencer. That one she opened first, figuring it was best to get the check in over with before seeing what it was her agent was so desperate to get a hold of her about. But instead of a question about Charlotte she was met with the simple words “I’m sorry” which confused her greatly. But before she could even go through the process of figuring out what Spencer was trying to tell her she was interrupted again by a call from her agent.

“Hello?”

“Justina. We’ve got a problem.”

“What is it Becca, I don’t really have time for anything right now, the doctor has me on best rest until further notice so if there are any appearances planned it’s best to start cancelling.”

“I know, I know. But we’ve got a big problem. The media found out Spencer is the father.”

And for the third time in the last eight months Justina’s life came to a halt.
