After pictures surfaced last week of Buffy star Justina Bennett looking rather plump while grocery shopping, it was released today that the star is expecting her first child, due near the end of the year.

“She’s over the moon excited about becoming a mother,” says a source close to the star. “It’s something she’s always wanted.”

No word on how the pregnancy will affect Bennett’s character Maria Hill as Marvel’s the Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently filming in London.
