biography
James Bennett and Katelyn Benson first met on a movie set, him an actor and her, the assistant to one of the writers. The first couple of months on set she wouldn’t even notice him but James was persistent. After all Katelyn was his perfect woman. But she had grand plans in life, plans that didn’t include being the notch on an actor’s belt. As the movie wrapped James had finally convinced Katelyn to give him a chance and within five months the two were walking down the aisle. Having James Bennett in her corner gave Katelyn an edge at her dream goal of being a writer on an Oscar worthy picture.

Less than a year after being married the couple was blessed by the news that their family would be expanding. Justina Nicole Bennett entered the world on September 25, 1981, the first of many daughters James would end up having. Thought she wasn’t the boy James had always dreamed of having, Justina became the light of her dad’s life, but that didn't stop his eyes from straying away from his wife. The picture perfect family was short lived when word broke than one of James’ mistresses was pregnant. Katelyn immediately threw him out of the family home, not wanting to be the pathetic wife that stood by as her husband had countless illegitimate children. Justina was barely a year old when the split happened and her father remarried rather quickly. It was the first time Justina was a flower girl in her father’s wedding but it wouldn’t be the last.

Despite the over the top way the two split both claimed raising Justina was a high priority for them. But James had his new family and movies and Katelyn was continuing to go after her dream of being an elite Hollywood writer. Weeks at a time would go by without Justina seeing either of her parents; neither of them bothering to coordinate their filming schedules to make sure someone besides the nanny was around for Justina. Growing up in an environment without rules or structure Justina never saw consequences for her actions. She was free to do what she wanted, when she wanted, the world be damned.

After high school Justina found herself on a road trip to Vegas with her close girlfriends that would only end in disaster. Armed with fake ids and a plan to celebrate graduation the girls planned on hitting as many clubs as possible in the shortest amount of time. One night as they drank themselves silly the group found themselves in the vip section of the club surrounded by alcohol, drugs and men. A short conversation later with a tall dark and mysterious man and Justina was drunkenly giggling through vows as the two became married at one of the chapels Vegas had to offer. The next morning the realization of what they, two complete strangers, had done and it became just a matter of how to make it all go away as quietly as possible. Justina swore her friends to secrecy, telling no one about the matter including her own family. Within a couple of months Justina had an annulment under her belt and was ready to move on from the whole thing.

Justina knew college wasn’t for her from a very young age. Having parents who both worked in the business it was a natural idea that Justina would follow in their footsteps. Having her pedigree she was able to get auditions and other perks from connections that most actors had to work a lifetime for. Right after high school and the trip to Vegas Justina began work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Faith, her first real role since childhood.

Once Buffy and then Angel ended Justina decide to stick to the romantic comedy genre, thinking that was what she wanted to do with her career, continually playing the high school/twenty-something good girl. In 2007 she found herself back in high school, landing the role of one of the leads in the television adaptation of the book series Gossip Girl. Blair Waldorf was everything Justina wasn’t in high school despite the similar upbringing.

As Gossip Girl wrapped Justina found herself itching to do something more fast paced and high adrenaline than the romantic comedies she had been so accustomed to. She wanted the action and drama that Buffy had been for her. The role of Maria Hill in The Avengers sort of fell into her lap one day as she complained to her father about not being able to find anything through her agent that wasn’t a romantic comedy. Justina was torn, she hated to rely on her last name as a way to get an audition or role but she’d be a fool to pass up something like this.

One night while doing the pre-production work for the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie Justina was attempting to let off some steam with a couple of drinks at the hotel bar. Things were going just fine until the one person she couldn’t stand walked in. Having a couple of drinks in her, Justina decided it was time to confront him and let him know just what she thought about his arrogant ass. A heated conversation with some finger jabs later would take place between the two. The next morning Justina found herself waking up next to him, the hotel room in a state of disaster that only one conclusion could be drawn from, the alcohol and heated conversation had led to a one night stand that Justina would deny ever took place. However it became harder to deny anything when a few weeks later Justina would discover she was pregnant, the costar she couldn’t stand being the father.

Now Justina is trying to figure out how to balance her career with a pregnancy and how to coexist in the most awkward of situations with someone she can barely stand to look at.
